Going Deeper

Episode 6 – Starting before you’re ready
If you’re a healer—or an emerging one—you’ve probably found yourself caught in the loop of “just one more thing.” One more training. One more book. One more certification before you can finally claim your work, share your gifts, or trust yourself enough to be seen.
But here’s the truth: you will never feel fully ready. And that’s not a problem. That’s part of the path.
This post is your permission slip to start anyway. To start before you’re ready. Because waiting is often fear dressed up in productivity—and your wisdom? It needs a place to land.
The Real Reason You’re Still Waiting
Let’s be honest. Most of us aren’t waiting to feel ready because we’re being strategic. We’re waiting because we’re afraid. Afraid to get it wrong. Afraid we’ll look foolish. Afraid we’ll lose people we love if we really let ourselves step into who we’re becoming.
We get caught in perfectionism, especially if we’ve been praised for being the smart one, the good one, the put-together one. We build these invisible strongholds of knowledge, thinking that maybe, if we just know enough, we’ll finally feel safe enough to begin.
But that moment doesn’t come. Not from more thinking. Not from more waiting.
Wisdom doesn’t live in our heads. It becomes real when we live it.
The Myth of “More Learning” for Healers
If you’ve collected healing modalities like gemstones—Reiki, Access Bars, massage therapy, sound healing—you’re not alone. That curiosity is beautiful. But eventually, the learning becomes a hiding place.
You start to feel like you’ve got all these branches… but no tree.
That’s when the real healing work begins—not by adding more to your plate, but by grounding into your core. You don’t need more techniques. You need to become the vessel that integrates and transmits them.
Healing isn’t just about what you know. It’s about how you show up. With presence. With trust. With willingness to be seen.
The Magic of Starting Before You’re Ready
One medicine that has landed the most powerfully for me came in the form of one phrase:
Start before you’re ready.
It’s from Marie Forleo, and it landed for me at a Tony Robbins event I originally didn’t even want to attend. It was wild and intense and uncomfortable. But it cracked something open. It showed me that my power didn’t lie in waiting for permission—it lay in doing the thing, even when I felt unsure.
And here’s what happened when I started:
I discovered I could trust myself.
I realized I didn’t need to know everything in order to serve.
And I learned that healing becomes real in relationship—with other humans, other bodies, other nervous systems.
That’s where the wisdom lives. In the interaction. In the moment. Not in isolation.
Is It Even Real?
Every healer, at some point, asks the question: Is this even real?
When you’re channeling energy, when your hands tingle, when a client says, “How did you know that?”—it can be both exhilarating and disorienting. Especially if the people around you are skeptical or scared.
And if you stay in your head about it, you lose touch with the very grounding that makes it real. You need to bring your healing into the world. You need reflection. Feedback. Energy that moves beyond your own field.
It’s in that exchange—real-time, embodied, mutual—that your practice deepens. That your intuition sharpens. That your confidence grows.
From Knowledge to Transmission
You’re not here to memorize healing quotes or follow scripts. You’re here to be the medicine. That means weaving together everything you’ve learned, but not being ruled by it.
It means letting wisdom move through your voice, your presence, your energy. It means learning not just how to know—but how to transmit.
And the only way to learn that? Is by doing it.
What If You’re Already Ready?
You might still feel the fear. The resistance. The whisper of self-doubt asking, “What if I’m not ready?”
But maybe the better question is: What if you already are?
What if everything you’ve studied, practiced, and healed up until now is enough to begin? What if confidence isn’t something you wait for—but something you build, moment by moment, through action?
Your wisdom is waiting to land. Not someday. Not when you finish another course. But now. In your body. In your voice. In the quiet way you show up and offer what you already know in your bones.
Healer Embodied: The Next Step
If this is landing for you, and you’re done collecting modalities and ready to become the healing vessel you were born to be, Healer Embodied is the next step. It’s not just about learning Reiki II and III—it’s about integrating all your gifts, deepening your trust, and practicing transmission in real time.
You don’t need to know more.
You need to live what you already know.
Because in this moment in history, healing is not a luxury. It’s a necessity.
And the world needs you living your wisdom—not just studying it.
