Scared to Offer Healing Sessions? Here’s What’s Really Holding You Back

If you’ve ever felt called to healing work but found yourself frozen at the edge of actually offering sessions—this episode is for you. Why You’re Scared to Offer Healing Sessions (And Why That’s Normal)

You’ve taken the course. You’ve done the case studies. Maybe you even got your Reiki II. And yet, when it comes time to actually offer a session, your whole system locks up.

You delay. You tweak your website. You spiral into “maybe I need another certification.”

But underneath all of that?
It’s not a lack of preparation.
It’s the tenderness of being called to something sacred.

The Real Fear Beneath the Surface

Being scared to offer sessions isn’t about laziness. It’s about love. The fear might be:

“What if I bring my mess into their healing?”

“What if it doesn’t work?”

“What if it works too well and I can’t handle the demand?”

These are deeply human fears. You’re not avoiding because you’re flaky. You’re avoiding because your soul knows this will change your life.

Your Mind Will Want to Think—But You Need to Practice

Your mind, in its sweet attempt to protect you, will try to overanalyze your next step.
Who should I work with?
What container makes sense?
How do I know I’m ready?

But you won’t find the answers in your head. You’ll find them in your hands.
Healing work is an embodied practice—you learn it by doing.

Confidence Comes After, Not Before

The healers who feel calm and confident? They’ve just done it more times.
They’ve done sessions when they were tired.
They’ve made mistakes.
They’ve discovered what feels nourishing and what doesn’t.

You can’t build confidence by waiting. You build it by beginning.

You Don’t Need to Be Perfect—You Just Need to Be Honest

Start small. Let your first sessions be messy. Let them be full of learning.
Make them free, or barter-based, or donation-based.
Your soul is asking you to walk, not to sprint.

And if you crave structure, mentorship, or community—reach out. That’s what Healer: Embodied is for. It’s not just about learning to hold space for others. It’s about becoming the kind of healer who trusts herself to show up.
